Hi!!

 

I’m Liz Andrew-Brake I am a qualified Social Worker that is AASW accredited. I have been working in the Child Protection field for the past 16+ years in a variety of roles in New Zealand, United Kingdom and Australia in both government and non-government organisations. 

As I became a Team Leader and a Manager, I learnt more about supervision and realised that I had received very little quality supervision in my career and this is where my passion for supporting workers began. 

I’ve also battled with burnout and vicarious trauma during my career and realised that the adrenaline of child protection work helped masked symptoms. 

My own experiences have inspired me to help others to both reduce and overcome symptoms of burnout and vicarious trauma.
