Finding hope in Child Protection work

Sometimes it’s hard for us to see hope in the work that we do, we see horrible things done to people (both by individuals and systemically too). It can seem as though things just won’t get better or we won’t see changes in our lifetime. I’ve noticed that I can feel particularly hopeless when reflecting …

  • Giving in to silence is hard!⠀
⠀
We often struggle with silence, perhaps we have been taught that silence is not a good thing? But in our work what ends up happening is that we plug silence with our own voice and therefore (often without realising it) disempower our clients. ⠀
⠀
Silence is a vital tool in our work to amplify a clients voice and to help us to truly listen to what is being said. ⠀
⠀
Here are some tips for how to embrace the silence in your work ⭐⠀
⠀
Do you have any more tips you would like to add? Let me know in the comments!⠀

  • Have you just had another Monday at work and are just not into it? Don't settle! We need strong and passionate Social Workers and Child Protection Practitioners in the profession that are wanting to kick career goals.

You can do something about it which will only take 1-2 hours and can all be done online.

My Yearly Planning module will help set you up for a fulfilling year to ensure that your career isn't stagnant, to help you avoid burnout and to leave you feel energised and passionate!

In the module we will cover:
- Reflecting on 2020
- Support in finding the right balance between working hard on your goals and looking after yourself
- Working out all of your goals and priorities
- Putting a plan in place for 2021

In each of the above you will get a video to talk you through the topic, plus a printable worksheet to support you.

All for $17 and you have access to the module until December 2021.

  • Whether you are back to work after a holiday, or you've worked through- it's always good to have a mantra to set your week up right. This is mine!

Whats your mantra for the coming week?
  • Embracing the down time!

This pic perfectly captures my holiday! Stormy weather, unknowns of whats to come with Covid in Sydney but beautifully warm water perfect for a swim, loving the change of scene and grateful that we were able to get away.
  • If each year you are struggling to achieve your career goals and are finding yourself feeling stagnant and maybe even a bit burnout (or a lot!) you are definitely not alone! ⠀
⠀
I have felt the same way, which led to me feeling over my job and questioning if a Social Work or Child Protection career was right for me. ⠀
⠀
I can show you how to set some solid goals for next year in just a few hours online. Which will leave you feeling more satisfied with you career and excited for the year to come. ⠀
